I’m sure they have, they clearly don’t care about the consumer.

I also wondered if vehicles that have had the replacement parts are failing for a 2nd time? I.e. since I've had mine done, do I still need to keep checking them.

Well - it certainly makes you question the ongoing credibility of the vehicle & organisation behind it. LR insist that the Recall notice I previously posted for your comment only covered 2014 & 2016 model yrs. I counsel your opinion - as I & many others read it as to cover 2014 to 2016 - Therefore including my 2015?

Does anyone actually have the VIN range JLR is using for the recall that's not a recall? |

I couldn’t obtain it - the dealer inputs your Vin individually to ascertain.

Interesting that all the reports of failure seem to be at low speed. |

Mercedes W124s had a similar thing with front ball joints and the typical failure was for it to let go as you were pulling away. |

Vin range and knuckle batch numbers are listed on the TSB N759v3, I had a copy but cannot find it for the life in me. Maybe worth asking someone with Topix access to pull a copy off and upload it. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

I think all the force is when doing a tight turn, so at low speed. One fatality was on a motorway where it is thought the vehicle was making an avoiding manoeuvre. The car ended up completely destroyed by fire so the cause was speculation. 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey |

No - mine failed in a straight line. Philip’s comment re they seem to fail at low speed is I suggest incorrect, just that those that have failed at high speed have ended up in such a mess that the cause has not been identifiable as a knuckle joint failure whilst they’re picking the pieces out of the tarmac, motorway bridge, ditch or other vehicle. |
