Got the letter, took it to the selling dealer, got blank stare. Suggested that it would be nice if they inspected, got blank stare...supposedly inspected and got two photos of rusty fuel tank cover.
Suggested that strut could be a liability/legal issue if it failed after letter and request to inspect...Took copy of recall letter and said they didn't have any parts..asked when or what should happen, blank stare.

Asked if they could change oil and filter and was told that vehicle needed a full 60,000 mile service despite the fact that same dealer had done interim services....asked how much and was told $4,500. asked just change oil and filter ($450). ( Not sure they even did that)

Had originally visited with intention to buy a new FF. Was told by someone in dealership that there was new ownership and all the technicians had left.

Received a feedback form and completed with above detail....no response. This is 5th new RR I have bought from this dealer and obviously last. In combination with new Pink Electric Wokuar program I am not sure JLR has a future.

Here is what I got back from JLR US after several emails into them about this.

While the H759 recall has been announced, please note that the necessary repair procedures and any required parts and/or software are not currently available at this time. Land Rover North America is committed to ensuring that your vehicle is safely serviced as soon as these resources become available.

Once the parts are available and the recall officially goes live, you will receive a recall letter notification, which will provide further instructions on the recall process and how to proceed with the necessary repairs. In the meantime, we recommend keeping in touch with your authorized Land Rover retailer for any updates or questions regarding the recall.

Should you have the repair completed prior to the recall going live, an authorized retailer will need to inspect the repair to ensure the work conforms to the recall specifications, or complete the official recall work, in order to close the service action on your vehicle. Once the N759 recall has been closed on your vehicle, your servicing retailer will then be able to process any reimbursements for previously performed repairs related to the N759 recall.

My LH knuckle has now started to show the crack. I believe this may be the first case in Australia. Thanks to this forum and everyone that has posted I have been checking them regularly and have caught it at the early stage. I am now in discussion with JLR and have reported it to the local authorities (as it is still not a recall in Australia). My vehicle is a 2014 model from the “period 1” high risk period as identified in the US recall. Luckily I have been able to source replacement knuckles (latest part numbers) and will be having them installed by my local dealer (who has been very good to deal with on this matter).
We will see what response I get from JLR and if this becomes a recall here too.

GaryR, have you been keeping watch and if so, how long has it been since the crack wasn't visible?

Graeme. I would say 5 months ago I saw the first marks that started the warning bells and then I took baseline photos. Then 6 weeks ago I thought it had gotten worse and then 3 weeks ago I concluded the crack was starting to open.

Although not in the “affected range”, I test mine with dye penetrant every 6 months for peace of mind.

When I did the brakes the other week I gave them a good clean up and checked them over. Still all Ok. Agree the dye is best way but mine were visually fine and I gave them A proper clean and close look👍🏻 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
