So, I've disconnected the plug and Surprise, doors looking works so it's good in the sens that I can have the car locked but bad in the sense that I still have many things I don't know about that will be consuming energy.
It's easy to see if the bulbls in the load space are on (just need to fold the top cover), and they are not.
As for the light in the glove box, I'll see later. Currently, the batt is @ 12v 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand

I have been reading all the threads about bad batteries trying to find an answer and I have just disconnected my satnav at the back as I noticed that when the car was locked up the power light to the nav was still on. When the car was asleep and I tried the tailgate button (car still locked) the nav unit came back on.

Have you tried that already? Someone posted on one of the other threads that the nav used a hell of a lot of power in his case.

So the result this morning is that the car was @11.5, could not be remotely unlocked. I've had to go into the trunk from the interior of the car Laughing
One question, when I recharge the battery, is it ok to only remove the -ve or +ve but not both?
The car's scheduled to go the dealer un wednesday, I'll try to create a fuse leak tester myself this afternoon (since I can't find one near me this week-end) and do the tests.
I'll cut the red part and solder leads to the green dots, then link this to my ohmmeter. Any recommendations?

Just the negative terminal will be ok.

With regard to your fuse modification, what you propose will work.
However measuring fuse current draw in your case will achieve nothing.
You already know, according to your measurements, that the total current drain on the car is 0.01A.
What a fuse tester will not show is an intermittent current drain which you may have as your battery keeps discharging.
The only way to find such an intermitent drain is to continue pulling fuses and seeing which affects the battery drain.

Just a thought, you don't happen to live near any radio transmitters by any chance?

About a year ago my central locking was affected in a particular location by a radio transmission insofar as the key fob wouldn't operate the locks.
Moving away from the location, everything worked.
Happened a few times at the same place, nowhere else.
Just wondered if a radio transmission could switch anything in the car on when it was parked and locked.

Ok for the charging method (can it be the +ve also?).
As for testing, I agree with you but I'm counting on being lucky. However, indeed the chances are small that I test at the good moment the good fuse Sad
As for radio interferences, yes, I do live next to a tv antenna (800m away). The thread is so massive that you've passed through this Wink

So he (my garagist) tells me that RRs can be bothered by interferences from TV antenas (the ones that broadcast) and it's true that my village has a big one... and sometimes moving just some hundred meters solves the issue.

A test I should do is let the car in a some place far from the antenna for half a day and check what happens to the battery.

I'll try to do that tomorrow. 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand

Yes you can take the +ve off for charging.
Never saw the previous post about radio interference. Thumbs Up

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi all, been following this thread closely for a number of weeks. Had issues around Xmas time with the car not starting randomly and diagnosed faulty alternator.. Since replaced but still every 2-3 days would need to jumpstart it. Battery is the s5 Bosch only put in last year. Took it to dealer this week who could not find anything wrong with it and returned it to me as is.... So finally got round to checking fuses this morning:

After 30 mins: current draw is 1.2 amps
Pull fuse 34 no difference
Pull fuse 64 no difference
Pull fuse 22 no difference
Pull fuse 49 no difference
Pull fuse 22 and 49, draw now 0.9 amps
Pull fuse 57, draw now 0.6 amps
Pull fuse 27, draw now 0.3 amps

It's a 2007 tdv8 hse.

Do the above numbers look too high, and reason for my battery problems?

One key missing part is after how long did you do your tests and were all doors closed?
Otherwise:
22 & 49 for audo satnav & bluetooth
57 for suspension & 27????

See above in the thread for proper testing method.

But back to today's news:
I parked the car for 4 hours some kilometers away from the antenna. Battery went from full charge (12.6) to 12.2.
I didn't have time to do the fuses tests. 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand

The car is now at the LR dealer, they were not really interested in understanding my investigations since "they perfectly know what they're doing" in the spirit. We'll see that, they'd better find the issue and fix it now Wink 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand

Called yesterday and they are the stage of putting a new battery after seeing that indeed the battery has lost power over the week-end. I'm not close from seeing my car repaired... 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand

Almost 2 weeks at the dealer... What they say: The see NO consumption at all... The car continuously starts without any issue. I'll get it back tomorrow.
I revert to 2 options:
- Radio Interferences where I live
- All my tests were done with bonnet not completely closed, could this be the consumption source?
I'd love it to be the latter but still, I had the issue with the new battery in the beginning.

WDYT? 2008 TDV8 VOGUE - Buckingham Blue on Sand
