I did my EGR stat a month or so ago. Didn't need to remove the fan or shroud, just the top cover that hides the stat. Maybe I was lucky but the little rubber vacuum pipe came off no problem.

| FBH itself is in the engine bay, next to the N/S suspension turret, but yes the exhaust for it is in the wheel arch. |
