Dynax wax sprayed inside both sills via holes underneath. You can see it dripping out of the lower joint where there are small holes in the seam joints. Taped the vertical holes where the covers clips into with masking tape to avoid spray out! 1 tin did both sides.

Part number for the 2 scrivits that are at the rear into the wheel arch liner is DYQ100230. |

All done. I prefer the Freelander 2 trims cut to fit. They cover the lip a fraction more and also look more OEM. I couldn't get them to "join" the trailing edge ones due to the lip issue. I've smeared the small 2" area of exposed lip with clear waxoyl.

I managed to treat both sides over the weekend. Thankfully not much rust, only some light surface patches. I treated with Kurust and then followed Matt's video with Hammerite and Waxoyl.

Forgot to mention this earlier, but, when I cleaned my sills last week with the plastic trim off, I saw evidence of some sort of wax dribbling out of one of the grommets [same as in one of Dr Robs photo's] can one assume then that JLR treated the inner sills with waxoyl or similar from new?

Yes, they would have been treated at the factory. I’ve just topped it up |
