My Dad's RR had this (MY10 TDV8 VSE) and so I went round to check if the wires were the cause of the Adaptive Dynamics fault.

What exactly is the approved mod? Is it worth it if the fix is so simple? Probably cost me 10p in bits. Discovery 4 HSE

Looks like the same grade wire but in a shrink wrap sleeve to make it tougher. Discovery 4 HSE

More like a rubber flex (like you would get on a power tool) than wires with heat shrink. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine has just bonged with this message, hopefully easy fix as noted! can anyone who has soldered comment if they have had further issues or is it best for the upgraded part as listed by Stan?

Having soldered both sides and then only to have a second additional break occur I bit the bullet and ordered two new replacement kits Just as well because the wire insulation was badly cracked in several places, and the fault reappeared again a few days later.
