Mines mostly short runs of 5 miles or less at the moment, one consumption is showing 15 mpg and the other 18mpg. Obviously does more on a longer run. 4.4v8 petrol (06). Maybe I should get the supercharged, can't be much worse |

My TDV8 is very frugal. Never dips below 20 even when towing. Normal average is about 28 and my "drive like a Grandma" run gave me 40 on a 100 mile trip at a very steady 60. Took some doing to keep it at 40 though, kept dipping down to a more natural 39 ish.

My SC average is between 12/14 mpg on a daily basis either short or longer journeys , I think I once achieved 15 mpg one day |

Mine does lots of short journeys usually of 10miles or less to work and back and returns about 19-21mpg without hoofing it lots.

I'm with Comports: somewhere between 23 and 25mpg onthe TD6. I averaged very close to the same with a TDV8 a while back - at lower speeds. At speeds over 100mph (autobahn) the TD6 starts drinking like I do on a Friday night. And while the TDV8 was still at frugal 20ish levels at 125mph, my TD6 was approaching the consumption of Mick's SC albeit w/o the hp...

My SC which is used as an occasional car, mostly for family holiday use (at a reasonably gentle pace) or to show customers (at a hair on fire pace normally!) has averaged over the last 5000 miles 18.2mpg... I drove up & back to Norfolk at the weekend and returned 22.6mpg with 3 adults 2 kids and luggage, a slow run up the A roads in heavy traffic Friday eve and a faster (more relaxed) run back round the M11/M25/M4 on Sunday. Oh and thats calculated MPG not the dash readout (which incidentally said more MPG!) & running 22" alloys/tyres (which some say knock the MPG)

Showing 15.7 for our SC from mostly gentle weekend journeys on busy A roads after approx 7 weeks ownership. Haven't done any long journey's yet, used to getting high teen's from the 928 so no surprises so far. 2006 Supercharged
