United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

My MY08 TDV8 was doing around 23/24MPG on average before I reset it now I am getting 20/21mpg Shocked

Dont get me wrong I am driving it not hard but I do put my foot down occasionally but just to get her going all my driving since I got her has been local stuff a bit stop start, I am off to the Alps again shortly so it will be interesting to get a proper look at MPG over a 750 mile drive across the auto routes Mr. Green

Is it worth getting it re-mapped for better MPG, I saw that Rovertune in Reading do Remaps so I may look further into this Mutt

Question should also be who is standard and who is running with a remap or tuning box and who has the egr removed? I disconnected the egr when i first got the car so dont really have a figure for before but the mpg was 17 while the garage were running it round. I have since removed it but have not noticed a real difference yet.

so according to the mpg on the car
running egr removed and a tuning box
local daily about 6 mile round trip 19-21
local run 24
motorway 60ish 34/5
motorway 70 33
towing 18/9

TD6 98k

any more want to compare? Mine was a blue one! Smile

Sorry but can someone please explain what an EGR is? How beneficial is re-mapping? Does it improve torque as well as mpg or is it a case of either performance or economy but not both? Who offers the best service and results? Does it negate your LR warranty? TDV8 3.6 2010 Santorini Black / Jet Interior

Just got home from Milton Keynes, reset the trip at the start and went round the M25 stopping and starting, crawling from M4 to M3. Weather was bad so settled down to a slow lane cruise ( really not my normal style) but this was the trip mpg (average speed 52 mph and 139 miles). The average? 43.2 mpg. Made me wonder if I went all out what figure could be achieved. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

I have a 2004 TD6 and over the last 6 years 60k miles I have owned it its averaged 24.1MPG according to the onboard computer. I have never reset it so I see it a a true average give or take the accuracy of the onboard computer. I dont think I have the EGR valve blocked on mine but I have had a PBox performance enhancer ECU fitted since I bought the car.

Was quite pleased with mine - computer said "29.9 for the last tankful" - but then real life measurement said "on yer bike, it's actually 25.9"

...which is disappointing on two levels. 2012 FFRR Westminster Orkney / Ivory and absolutely no pimp-glass!

Averaging 22.4 from a 2006 AJV8 Petrol after 800 miles mixed but a few long journeys. Very impressed with the smoothness, sound and power of the engine.
