Thanks all done, only took him an hour £315.
Let’s hope it cures the intermittent starting problem.

What should I expect to pay to have it replaced.

Thanks Phil, got chance to look again yesterday, still can't find it, it's not behind the battery on a 07.
On a Plus note, I was wondering if a bad earth could be the cause and on removing the batte ...

It's not in the rear fuse box or the one under the bonnet with 10 or so screws.

Well the problem went away on it's own but has now returned same as before.
I have a shiny new YWB101050 ignition relay but can't find where it goes (yes I've Googled)
It's not in the rear fuse box ...

It was the lower ball joint, can only assume it was on it's last legs and jacking it up allowing
it to extend to it's max was enough to end it's service.

Every now and then, key in ignition, turn on, I get radio etc but no dash lights and car won’t start.
It seems worse if the car is warm, new battery about 6 months ago, it just happened at home and ...

Had 2 new tyres fitted and since noticed an odd noise.
Sounds a bit like a rubber gater but not sure how it could be a tyre fitters error?

Just had to replace mine.
Just to add I couldn't get the starter out through the side to the wheel arch, mine came out through the bottom chassis rails.
 How many fuse boxes, and where are they?

Looks like a different car to mine, and LHD.
My fuse box in the glove box is, unless that removes and you access behind it?

"I would guess the "ignition relay" is in the big black box with 10 screws"

I can't see it or find a diagram of what is in there, nothing on underside of lid.
