Worst I had in the RR was about 15mpg average, did manage 22mpg on an 80mph run back home from Aylesbury with the cruise control on.

Don't know why I felt the need to be a wise ass BUT US Gallons are smaller so would pull MPG down not up. a mile is a mile plus or minus a few mm. sorry to be a bore! Geoff |

US? Er .... it's british built, and apart from switching between metric and imperial (KM/M) there's nothing else you can do! One mile on the motorway = 1 mile on my RR.
Yet another good reason for me not drive a dirty oil burner |

I'm getting an average of 27.6 on my TDV8 according to my consumption 2 figure for last tank and that was mixed driving on motorway and short runs. Can get about 32.6 mpg or so at 60mph on motorway runs. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Done just over 5000 miles in the TDV8 4.4, computer lies but have brimed the tank each fill up and it is always about 25 mpg. letters not necessarily in the right order |

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm my MPG is around 7 in "normal" Lagos traffic (moving at very slow speed in hot weather in a nicely cooled interior). Sunday driving (going at a reasonable speed along some of the nicer roads in Ikoyi and VI) I get around 14 to 15 MPG but that is it, unless I start driving like the proverbial old lady, then it goes up a bit more say 18 MPG but that is not what a S/C was built for IMO

I'm sure most SC owners could get the same "on a run".

Hi Rolo, good to hear that I am actually not doing that badly. If you take the high temperature into account as well, that tends drive the consumption up a bit as well (not just because of the AC working very hard). And sitting in traffic, in a city with lots of cars around you the temperatures go up a bit (normal daytime temperature are around 34 C at the moment).

At those fuel prices it would almost be worth bringing a tanker back to the UK from there!! |
