huh turns out its brembo.

Anyways, it came, it'd need a bit of modification but would work, but think i'll just order the other ones and cut them or maybe figure out if i can make enough of a gap that they don't touch Its actually a sport Sad

Right so all installed with hubs

Had a brainwave though.

Why cut them, I only need a bit of extra clearance like an extra 5mm.

I can just flatten the lip entirely and avoid jagged edges, but unsure best way

Am thinking whack it in vice and go to town

But happy for any other ideas Its actually a sport Sad

Depends how thick the metal is and what the tolerance for the brake retaining pins is as any form of 'panel work' may push things out of alignment so just cutting it would be best in this respect. A turned edge however is usualy a structural feature on thin sheet work so if it can be carefuly eased out to create clearance it may be better but I'd do it gradualy with a hammer on a solid surface. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

so am hoping not to bend that far, just purely the lip flattening, so i guess ill need to support that joint somehow to make sure it doesnt mess with the rest of the shield.

orrr, i dont do anything, the disc fits in, just, and when the disc runs it'll wear the plate down just enough.

but that seems a tad risky. Its actually a sport Sad

You definitely don’t want to distort the back plate, it will impact the operation of the brake shoes. The shoes need to on a flat surface.

I would inclined to grind it back until it just clears the brake disc and hope that a bit of the radius is retained. Kevin

probably true, ill just cut it down and clean it up.

i also have another problem, replacing the anti roll bar bushings.

but those Censored are seized on there, they've more or less married the metal.

can I remove the ARB without removing the exhaust?

if i cant is there any particular solvant i can spray to break them apart?

or shall i just get a torch under there and burn them off?

cheers Its actually a sport Sad

If they are the same design as the fronts they are bonded to the bar and you replace the whole bar 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

things are starting to take shape on the left side. everything is more or less in.

i forgot to order nuts/washers for the drop links so waiting on that

i have 4 questions.

1. can I test the EPB with no discs on to make sure everything is okay? or is that too risky and could lead it to jam? the car has been off since ive started and the EPB has been off as well. to boot the battery has been removed.

2. anyone know the oring size for the voss fitting?

3. nothing is yet torqued just mostly hand tight but there an accurate diagram somewhere of which way the bolts/nuts should go in?

4. to achieve ride height. i plan to jack the middle of the half shaft to 483mm of the arch then torque everything, is that acceptable?

cheers Its actually a sport Sad

to follow the above

tried fitting the right sided half shaft, it goes past the circlip but goes no further Sad the left side slid straight in.

i also removed the circlip and it still doesnt want to go further, could this be some alignment issue because i rotated the diff from the other half shaft?

theres about a thumbs gap. Its actually a sport Sad

another follow up to a follow up

basically the half shaft was for the other side. a bit annoying as had to take the other side apart again BUT when its all new nuts and bolts its actually quite easy Its actually a sport Sad

right on the home stretch

batteries back in, thankfully only errors atm are just low brake fluid and brake wear sensor issues

brake discs are on, i noticed one of them has clearly been used before as per the pics. but i bought it back the backend of 2023 so doubt it'll get replaced, plus no lip or anything on it so no issues there.

also ordered a set of general grabber AT3s.

my big question now is, how the Censored am I meant to torque the hub nut to 420nm or whatever it is.

i thought maybe I could do it with the wheel touching the ground because ive no idea how else am going to hold it in place since it spins freely.

but the 36point socket I have doesnt fit past the wheel Laughing

i am curious how far I can go without it being 420nm but basically as tight as I can get it, since its going to the alignment shop, and they are only round the corner
