I concur, last one I changed took just under 20 tons to get it out, I doubt the threads on that kit will apply that much force.. Hope it does for you though... Pete

I'll find out when I get the new sleeve made up but I think it will. The bearing was moving out until it reached the lip of the sleeve and then it wouldn't go any further due the bearing not being small enough to fit into the sleeve.

Good tip, also there are kits with more pieces that could fit, but they will also be more expensive

I can't put my bearing in the freezer for fear that my Mrs will come across it and end up cooking it! |

That's probably as good if not better quality than the original kit parts We make push / pull parts at sea from steel pipe all the time.

The overall height including lid is 75mm and the outside diameter is 115mm the important internal diameter is 100mm so that is can accommodate the bearing that is being pushed out. |
