The mirror would have fitted (in fact did ) but there was no mounting for the sensor on my old one and the black surround (kinda dotted painted onto the screen) did not have the big dip in it. I'll remove the lot and take photos for the wiki as it only took ten minutes to add it all together and wire it up.

The sensor mount is just a silicone pad. Needs to be heated to 60+ deg C with a heat gun and attached when new. The surround can be done by paint (saw this in a BMW forum where the sensor was retrofitted) or black adhesive foil (as I'm doing). Haven't got to fitting yet...

I thought there was a special part of the screen that magnified the light/rain so the sensor picked it up easier..?

erm - no idea as I was at work. Left it wit SWMBO (big mistake). I phoned her when they had gone and asked if all was ok..? Her response.... I dunnow..!

dan.... what type of rain sensor have you got on your screen, is it got the two big cells or the 6/8 little ones V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
