The mirror would have fitted (in fact did Mr. Green ) but there was no mounting for the sensor on my old one and the black surround (kinda dotted painted onto the screen) did not have the big dip in it. I'll remove the lot and take photos for the wiki as it only took ten minutes to add it all together and wire it up.

If you already have either light or rain sensors then it should be fine as the screen will already have the mounting clips in place. I believe the rain /light sensor itself is the same size but contains both sensors in one unit. Ash

The sensor mount is just a silicone pad. Needs to be heated to 60+ deg C with a heat gun and attached when new. The surround can be done by paint (saw this in a BMW forum where the sensor was retrofitted) or black adhesive foil (as I'm doing). Haven't got to fitting yet... Embarassed

I thought there was a special part of the screen that magnified the light/rain so the sensor picked it up easier..?

Before the new screen came I just fitted it all together and put a small bit of bubble wrap in behind the sensor (so it pushed up to the screen) when I fitted the mirror surround back in place. It did work anyway but assumed there would be more on the screen. Doh... Ash
