I wonder if there is a TSB for this. If it was done as regular maintenance then it would be a recall, which should apply to all affected vehicles.

Yes, implication being that the dealer just did it foc under direction from JLR, that’s what I meant.. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I have had the exact same failure this last week - my 2015 Range Rover has 42K on the clock and full service history.

It appears that all the affected vehicles in this thread are 2015, was there a part superseded that particular year?

A worrying development for 2015 owners.......... JLR need to act and quick IMHO. 1 maybe unlucky, 2 is definitely bad news. BMW i3 Electric Car

this LR suspension design was common between several models, I’m sure that the L494 used the same parts as the 405. Also the defender and discovery 5 have a very similar setup. Would be interesting to know if there are any similar failures on those as well. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
