I did this on my 2007 but had to fit an aerial for the receiver. All the other wiring was there but no aerial.

On the L405, the antenna port from the receiver module connects into the television antenna amplifier module also located on the base of the D pillar. The receiver therefore uses the television antenna built into the rearmost offside window and does not have a separate one, unlike the L322, L319 and L320. Kev

Yes. Yours is a Webasto unit. Land Rover must have changed back to Webasto for the later L405s. Kev

Many thanks.

It'll be different, Phil. The part number earlier was for the Eberspächer receiver.

I have a Webasto receiver that was installed on a previous generation vehicle but I'm not sure if it will be compatible with a new one. I doubt it to be honest. Kev

I’ve located the part number(s) on the FBH unit, any idea how to find out which receiver to match it with? Might it be one of these?

Hi Phil, I'm not sure to be honest. That receiver you linked to is the same as the one I had installed in my 2010 RRS and also fits in the L319 and L322.

I think that on the newer models, the remote climate is controlled through the InControl app.
Edit: I see that the InControl app starts the engine, FBH is still via the separate remote.

Have you checked to see if you have the wiring for the receiver at the base of the D pillar? It would be good to have a picture of the connector. Kev

Thanks Kev,

I checked this morning and think I am out of luck. I had a good feel around behind the insulation but couldn't find anything that looked like of the sort of connector I would need for a receiver or an antenna.

I might have to invest in a GAP tool and see if I can get the timed FBH working.

Where the BCM is on the right of your picture, you need to look/feel upwards into the D pillar. Kev

Remember the L405 does not use a Webasto FBH. It uses Eberspächer.

Eberspächer may have something though.

So is this not doable on the petrol L405? on the 2004 did you have to install the ducting etc to push the air into the cabin? As well as the module and the remote + coding? 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

This is the view up the D Pillar. A single large loom with a spur off for an interior boot light and also the small green box. Nothing else loose or taped as far as I can tell.

The existing heating ducts and climate control is used. You have no FBH so you have to see if you can install one. Kev

I tried to retrofit the remoute unit on my car. I have the heater ( exact as it is shown in the pictures) under the bonnet. But I dont have the cable under the rigth rear pillar. Instead I have a small loom what is connected to a TV unit ( antenna) and the boot lamp. I think the location for the remoute ECU has changed. Could one of you check if this is the case for the 2016 or LR has eliminated the loom to connect the remoute ECU and the antenna cable ? It would be great, I have now all needet parts and the ID tool and cant install the parts. Thanks in advance.
