I think Greg (GGDR) had exact same issue. Search his threads maybe. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Indeed looks same. Mine took a while to find, so jump to the end: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic52807.html Or to save you reading the metal circle lost it's mojo and the intercooler to throttle body pipe was leaking (at the throttle body joint). Right where your soot is. Soot = air leak thanks to the EGR. Separate topic but makes me think air filters are a bit pointless theory than keeping leaves and sand out. The clip is not available separately so to save £200-odd quid, I bent it a bit more inwards and it's been a diamond since. .. Oh right, so you had the same issue and it turned out to be a weak clip? But you can’t get a replacement clip? |

Just added a video to the original post. Should it have this much movement? |

This is why I should leave this stuff to the experts. Just removed that part to check for splits, cleaned it up, refitted and managed to break a water hose / clip. Now I’ve stranded the car. Ffs!

That part broken is only available with the hoses attached and is about £80, You may be able to get one from a breaker.

Would be great if you have. I can't believe this, this is the worst time for this to happen. I only had a look myself as I need the car back asap and hoped to find a straight forward fix. Now I can't even start the car let alone take it to a specialist. It is booked it to have a starter fitted on Friday too (another issue I've had) |
