A minor update on my flakey seat base heater. I've been trying again to remove it from under the seat and then I found an image of the part

My theory is, that the peltier is actually working in your case, and heating up.

Ran across this while looking up problems with my seats. With 157k miles I expect the filters are filthy. The passenger seat still works, but the drivers doesn't seem to heat or cool. I expect it needs a new unit. I'll start with filter first though. A lot of the Ford owners are buying the RR filters because it still has the filter media in it. I'm actually ordering the Ford FS-106 for better airflow. Found the FS for a little cheaper than the RR filter. Does anyone know if the F150 fan unit is a direct replacement for the RR unit if it is bad? |
