Ok I got off - lots of sweating, trapped fingers and a broken lug but it is possible to remove the rigid back with the seat in the car. Just. Now I'm looking for a fault with the heating unit...

I suppose at this age and mileage that we have all done now, we will have to put all these seat problems down to wear and tear rather than faults, but good to know where to look when problems arise.

I haven't read all the thread - but my drivers seat heating failed on my last L322, it was the seat blower motor that went - MD replaced it under extended warranty 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Removed the motor/heater unit. The split in the ducting went right around to the other side.

Cheers Andy. When you turn the dial on there's a strong fan sound for 5 secs Then that sound drops down and I can feel the (lower) fan running with my finger. Then fan stops altogether after around 20 secs.

i had the same problem, but there was no visible damage so presumed it was down to the peltier cell so in the end i just purchased a new unit from LRdirect, fitted it in and it all works fine now, good luck FF TDV8 WESTMINSTER EXTERIOR DESIGN PACK 2012 |

From memory, when cooling the fan under the seat base will spin and can be heard rotating but on heating it stops FF TDV8 WESTMINSTER EXTERIOR DESIGN PACK 2012 |
