That's my understanding, the vemo should fit straight in and give you a running temp of around 93-95 degrees.

Normal running conditions are with the heater off, only under heavy load will the heater cause the stat to open.

It's not a hot running issue, they were designed to run at a very high temp, it is a normal feature but not a desirable one, hence this mod.... Hi, it does generate a fault code, just not one sufficient to put a message in the instrument panel.

Well he is 100% wrong, it is not a temp sender it sends power to open the stat, what can you connect it to...??????

I have literally just finished installing the diesel 88deg thermostat. Not started up yet though as need to pop out to get some coolant. Nobody mentioned what a bit*h that lower l/h bolt is to get at!!

Long reach 3/8 drive 10mm socket fitted perfectly on mine... be a pig with just a spanner though.... Pete

It is a piece of wee to fit on the Petrol M62 engine and I also used a1/4 drive ratchet and bar😁
