Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

Went sand dune bashing and then a spot of fishing at Wilbinga about an hour north of Perth , challenging to say the least with low profile tyres and with DSC off I felt like I had too much power at times but a laugh all the same .

Funny as I had mine parked next to a Patrol today as well, even took these two quick pics to show how these two show different 4x4 approach. Not quite your background though.

Steve, put the car in off road height and try the handbrake then in access height... You should find the latter will be rubbish in comparison! Just the way they are I’m afraid & the reason the electric handbrake was developed...

Thanks for that Craig, I shall try the above and see.

Fitted a reversing light..............

Gave the inside a bit of a clean..........

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Corris Grey

Brake pad warning light came on. Front has had uneven wear on the pads due to sticking calliper on passenger side but certainly not down enough to rub through warning sensor. Any way, new pads and wear sensor wire on front and Bill Oddey warning light still on. Checked rear shoes and not low enough to trigger sensor device. Have ordered new wire for back just in case. Any one know how to turn brake warning light off ?

Also put UV dye in to oil as there is a leak from some where towards the drivers side of the engine, drip collecting on under tray and has certainly splashed around a lot underneath. cleaned off as much as possible and stood underneath with UV torch.... beggar all to see !!! Not a rapid drip so will need to run it a few days and return underneath with light. Recently done rocker gasket on that side yet it's bone dry all around the rocker cover.

Took SWMBO and daughter to beach at St Anne's.

After Building Sandcastles, Donkey Rides, and Ice Creams SWMBO was happy.

150 mile round trip, returning 22mpg and never missed a beat.

Thanks to @Haylands advice.,.. 80deg kit fitted - No hammers were used in the fitting. Laughing lower temp reduce stress on engine (sounds more relaxed) and hopefully plastic components will live longer. Also reduced temp hopefully less pressure and less leaks.

of this component.

New Rad Top Hose PCH001110 - cured leak near Alternator Very Happy

New Stubby heater manifold connector fitted - the one right at rear of engine - quite comfortable working there now after changing the PCV. This was basically a pre-emptive strike against failure as they often go. JHC000081

Fitted New GearBox OIL COOLER THERMOSTAT (OEM BEHR) PBM000010
& New GearBox OIL COOLER MOUNTING PLATE (Genuine LandRover) PCU000140

Fortunately mine were not brittle so keeping old one as spares.

New Antifreeze for our expected cold winter.

All in all a good day on pre-emptive strike on cooling system leaks
Just me, cups of tea and biscuits. SWMBO made me lunch but was left to tinker away in peace.

What more could a man want. Cool
