It seems to stick out quite far at the bottom compared to mine do you have to cut the holder down more to get flush?

the thing to remember is that the android part is one of many components on this unit, all of which is interfaced to a master control unit that provides all the non android items such as DVD player or the revers cam inputs audio and video outputs and inputs are switched as needed by the MCU. The MCU is hierarchically speaking above Android
