Adaptive Dynamics fault light just came on and terrain response doesn't light up. Any tricks to clearing this? Thx! Mike

fix front shocks wiring

Is that something I can do or does it have to go to to the dealer??

Its connecting two wires together so hope you can manage

look for the broken wire in the area of metal covers on the top of front suspension struts (under the bonnet)
(you can undo the 2 torx and remove covers for access)

When fixed the fault will clear

That is exactly what it was!! Thank you so much, saved me a 7 hour round trip to the dealer. The 2nd wire was almost broken
as well so I spliced that as well! Excellent instructions too! Mike

When I had this problem the LR assistance guy said there was going to be a recall, still waiting.

my light came on a week ago. I took it to dealer and they said right wheel sensor needs replacing. Its booked in to do this Thursday. However after seeing this thread I popped the bonnet open and voila a broken cable, attached a piece of wire and taped it for now as I will still have it replaced on Thursday but at least I get a better ride until Thursday

Thanks, My 2011 RR had display of Adaptive Dynamic Fault also. I just followed advice about checking shock wire & bingo. It was easy to see wire was broken. Was an extremely simple fix! Terrain Response now is operational.

Got the same fault today but cannot see any broken wire  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Pop the hood & look at the shock towers on the right and left side. There are two white wires or maybe there in a harness running into the shock towers. Remove the two star screws from the bonnet and pull up on the plug very slowly follow the wires down to the shock check both sides. My problem was just where the wire exits the bonnet or just inside. I've attached a photo you can see I've taped the wires with electrical tape when I was done but you need to take the two screws off and look inside that cap.

i saw it - i opened it - but i am scared to brake more when removing the harness... guess i bring the car to the local dealer by monday just 1,5 miles away from where i live  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Just a simple soldering job. If it's too far down the shock tower it's difficult to repair. Mine was at the top, a very simple repair. At least you know the problem and it should be an inexpensive fix. Before I investigated the problem the dealer had no idea what the problem was they said just bring it in we need to put it on the diagnostic machine first total BS. You could twist them together for a temporary fix until you take it to the dealer. Good luck. Let me know what they charge you to fix it.
