Just did this on my 2017 L405 LWB SC with gap tool...worked perfectly.

Car defaults to auto start/stop off.

Seems to work. The whole CCF write is a scary thing, with ignition off/on/off Christmas tree lights and some of the car settings need re-inputting afterward (AEB off etc.)

However - the car now remembers the start/stop setting across starts. Hallelujah.

or, you can simply disconnect the earth to the rear cubby battery [if you have one] or disconnect the signal wire to the capacitor, again in the rear cubby.. ... - .- -.

Indeed. I guess the advantage of the CCF change is you can re-enable it on the switch if you want though.

Just done this. Scarey for numpties like me with all the warnings! But appears to have worked - certainly worked for a couple of test starts after finishing, will see if it remembers when I use the car properly tomorrow! Thanks for posting - I hate stop/start and nearly all other driver "aids" so default off is nearly always my pref - can switch it back on in a queue situation or when stationary for longer than normal - which is what I did manually before. Mike - MPx

I tried to look for the CCF files on the GAP tool, could not find them under the Main CCF ! I have 2016 RR 3.0 Petrol engine.

Does any have a video for a Range Rover ?

Anyone tried this on a 2013 TdV6? Want to do this CCF change.

@ Stan; disconnecting the rear cubby battery seemd to work fine until after 50 km drive I got the "restricted performance" Censored message. Reconnected the battery and never a restricted performance message again. But still the annoying start/stop Evil or Very Mad thingie so want to cure that one Laughing 2013 L405 3.0 TdV6 Autobiography Barolo Black

it could be the aux battery is supplementing the main battery which could be low on power

so check the main battery to make sure its at full power. ... - .- -.

Happy to report that the IIDTool change worked on mine so it starts up with it switched off every time and I can switch it on whenever I want on the switch. Perfect. I just followed the steps in the vid posted - must have watched it half a dozen times in the car to make sure I was doing the right thing LOL! Mike - MPx

Thanks for your thoughts.

Today tried to do this mod. Unfortunately I can't get a complete list of Car Config in the app. It only has a (very) limited "confirmed list" available. Anybody any idea how to solve this?
Question Bow down

BTW: I had the most recent firmware on the GAP which didn't show more than the confirmed list. After that I reinstalled the firmware to no avail Sad 2013 L405 3.0 TdV6 Autobiography Barolo Black

You need to email GAP and ask them for the full, unconfirmed list, then you update your IID and it will all be there....

My tip, take screengrabs of any setting you change... Thumbs Up Pete
