Good mods for L322 (4.4 TDV8)?

Recommendations on good mods to the later L322?

(Already considering stage 1 remap)

I'm thinking things like....

Electric tailgate opening
Access height on door open logic
Interior "mood" lighting
Aniline/suedecloth neck pillows
Rear floodlight(s)
Towbar camera
Shift paddles
Etc (anything else I haven't thought of) 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Don’t you have shift paddles already?

Though aluminium ones would be nice….

I'll correct myself. I mean aluminium/titanium. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Yeah. A bit cheap without them for a car of its class.

I want the extra comfy headrests with the cushions on…. And that Apple car play box…

Does anyone know some good upholsterers I could maybe enquire to for some custom neck cushions?

After having a 2020 L494 A/B for 6 weeks, I am in love with both cushions and wings. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

By far the best upgrade in my opinion is a naviplus apple car / android auto wireless upgrade. Perfect to bring the car into the 2022.

Second best upgrade; replace the diesel for a 5.0SC 🤣

These aren't actually something I'd go for. The system is quite expensive and is now last gen Android tech. I fitted the latest generation Android system to my Mercedes and they're streets ahead of these older slower systems, with an older Android version on too.

On the L494 and L405, you have a choice over current/old but it seems to just be old on the L322. I prefer to stick to mounting my phone or tablet if that's the case.

On the L494 or L405, I agree, they're definitely worth the money. You can also now get the climate touch screen retrofit. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I don't understand what you mean by 'last get Android tech'. It is not a android based headunit, it enables Android Auto which is an entirely different thing. The tech is as up-to-date as your phone is. Which in my opinion with Android is not necessarily a good thing as me personally preferred the older version. On my latest Samsung Android Auto is 'weird' with little menu system.

PS. Recent changes in Highway Code do not allow you to even change a song on your phone (or table). I appreciate the chances of being caught are low but I would still advice against it.

At nearly £1,000, Naviplus is twice the price of the custom Android head unit.

Think I'm going to pass on that mod and stick to my phone mount. For changing track via the stereo, there are options including a device which uses the ipod port (about £80) and some USB bluetooths will also act as a media device to the stereo. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Definitely not interested in ICE upgrades, sorry. I don't really think there's any compelling enough options over £5 on a 3.5mm cable, Bluetooth adapter and a £15 phone mount for when needed.

And it would be easy enough to install an Android tablet with audio output and switched live if I really wanted to.

If Naviplus was £200, sure but, at £1,000, that's very steep.

More more interested in improving convenience features I think. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

🤣🤣🤣🤣 That is purely about convenience but hey ho. Your car, your choices. I can’t stand those kind of blue Peter solutions in a luxury car but we are all different.

Seen my mod? It works well and gives a professional install.
