TD6 in the US. Oil bypass filter? ECU tune?

Hello folks

Hope all are well with lock down life. I've come over from the Disco world. Had an '05 v8 D3 that treated me well. My goal was to make it to the moon on milage. Made it there and a bit more. Purchased a '16 TD6 at the end of last year and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm almost out of the warranty period so I'm looking to do a few things to it.

My biggest annoyance is the tip in lag off idle. I have kind of got use to it but the first week or two popping out in to traffic was little Shocked I'm wondering if any of the ecu tunes solve this? Along with that are there any recommendations for a safe ecu tune?

I've also been looking at fitting a bypass oil system from like amsoil. I'm amazed at the amount of soot in the oil. I know long haul drivers in various US market diesels get good results with them. There are few kits for the 3.0 diesel ford F150 which uses the same base engine. Has anyone one done this yet?
