Sure...but does it need to take up so much space. Two lines would be enough...

my signature is comparatively small compared to those who list their 'old' cars from up to 50 years ago and those who have pics of their ranges, but i appreciate your comments from someone who has only 122 posts so far... .. ... - .- -.

Appreciated that comment. Everyone has to start somewhere. In my 122 posts, however, I think most would agree that whilst I have asked a lot of questions, now I am actually a Range Rover owner, I have also contributed to this forum quite substantially.

Out of interest, how many of your 3,000 odd posts have been sarcastic comments to new members or low posters about using the search function or multiple quoting? I think you'll find some of our more established members also use the 'quote' facility quite freely.

If the post is referring directly to the text in the "quote" then its fine and as the system intended. General replies to the thread do not need the quotes.

Worth noting that multiple post pointing out space issues may take up more space than the quotes themselves....

Surprised

i asked ''can i ask , why all the multi-quotes when answering the post above'' to which you took as a sarcastic comment, why i dont know...if you took the time to read other threads you would have noticed that most members only quote on one post not five ..

i try to guide new members to the search and wiki as most times that particular question has been asked many times and sometimes only a few threads below and i dont think thats being sarcastic ..you'll also noticed that i have been thanked many times for doing this ..maybe when you've been here a bit longer you'll see what i mean..

only by reading all my posts will you see how many members i've helped and how many i've been sarcastic to.. ... - .- -.

Scarey,

Can we please just agree to disagree? I'd like my contributions to this forum to be useful and the past five odd posts have been nothing of the sort. I'd appreciate it if you can forgive us... The last thing I want to do is fall out with anyone on here...

Kind Regards.

you've lost context there by not quoting the post you're replying to.

Can you clarify?

coming back to the thread...

your FBH comes on to help the engine warm up after the engine has been started?
am I understanding you correctly in that?
automatically?
my manual says when it is really really really cold, you can use the FBH to warm the engine and not the cabin before starting.....but to help warm the engine after the engine has started?

Yep. Automatically to assist the warm up of the engine (when it's cold). Obviously if you use the FBH before you get in this won't happen.

have to say I have not noticed the FBH coming on to warm the engine after I have got into the cabin and started the engine in the last couple of years.......no mention of it in the handbook either

FBH only comes on diesels and very few petrols if you have selected that option from new.... ... - .- -.

Rambles has a 4.4TDV8 so would have the FBH. Rambles - I just remember reading this somewhere - I don't think it is in the handbook. It will only happen when the coolant temperature is fairly low.

Edit: Rambles - is your vehicle correct? It says you have a 2011 4.4 V8 which would refer to a Petrol car?
