I'm not sure I can help but, if its the same (that's the bit I cant remember) as the one in the boot then it is a BMW part and easily available on eBay. The part number is on the lens.

Thanks Haylands, thats a good shout but unfortunately Id already bought a set of interior lightsd - thats how I found the missing lens

If you are referring to the rectangular floor lights on the underside of the closing panels and not the lower round lights at each end of the dashboard then they might not match the upper tailgate light units. On my 2003 model the tailgate lights use a wedge bulb and the floor lights use a festoon bulb.
