It's difficult to get to but yes. You should also be able to move the valve 90' by hand.
If yours has a nut on the end of the rod it is the old type. There is a revised part without a nut.

Have you checked to see if the COSV valve is free to move? Between Rad and engine at the bottom. |

It's not that the oil filter is not correctly installed, it's the drain back valve that comes off it's locating post.

There is a chance that the oil filter drain valve may have come off it's post underneath the filter. Worth taking the filter out and having a look. |

I don't have any 'chirps' set on mine, I just look to see if the mirrors are folded in or not to know it's locked. Can't see the point in the 'chirp' for unlock really. Perhaps a job for the IID tool ... |

When I had a set of four fitted they were already 2 years old, all different dates. |
