Heated door mirrors activation

OK, a pet hate of mine is people asking questions about how to use their vehicle when all they have to do is read the manual...

Well I have speed read the 324 page manual, and gone through the 20 pages of index thoroughly and can find no information on how the door mirrors are switched on to heat, is it temp, on with the rear screen or is there an actual switch or what...?

Page 60 covers door mirrors but no info on heat....?

I've also looked at the workshop manual but can't find mirrors anywhere, I'm probably looking in the wrong place, are they "chassis" "electrical" "general" etc....??

Never had an issue before but the other day the glass was covered in rain drops which would have soon gone had I been able to switch them on....

Cheers.... Pete

Heating of the exterior mirrors is controlled by the CJB and the respective
door modules, and is active while the ignition is in power mode 6 or 7.
The CJB receives the ambient air temperature value from the ECM (engine
control module) on the high speed CAN (controller area network)
powertrain systems. The CJB converts the ambient air temperature value to
an on-time percentage and transmits it on the medium speed CAN body
systems to the two door modules, which then energize the exterior mirror
heating elements accordingly. The on-time percentage is increased while
the windshield wipers are on.

On vehicles with the parked heating function, exterior mirror heating may

ambient air temperature.

I think it's just best to say they come on when necessary Very Happy L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

We have a pub quiz first Thursday of every month in the Pembrey Country Inn, needless to say if you’re passing we’re the table closest to the open fire. I think we may do well that week. 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )
