I would recommend buying the biggest one you can afford both in £ and in the space you have available.

Look out for both CFM, tank size and especially at what PSI it runs at.

if you are using genuine cables and bolts the bolts are shouldered so that the cable cannot be nipped tight.

Like others I spray them with lubricant regularly.
