That's what I thought, I wished I had seen this when I did my Exhaust temp sensor on the manifold. |

You could use an open ended ratchet spanner

Or the type of slotted hex spanners used on brake pipes like these:

The problem with the two post above is that :1 rounding off the hex fitting 2: access into the area.
