Clicked over 100,000 miles today in my MY2012 - 40,000 of which are mine and I’ve enjoyed every one of them.

Had the underneath totally cleaned, heat shields etc removed, any surface rust converted with Fertan and then when that had dried, all exposed surfaces were sprayed with Dynax UC, cavities, inside of subframes etc liberally sprayed with Dynax S50.

I had my oil leak sorted along with a few other issues. My leak was the oil cooler so it was replaced. The coolant reservoir was flushed but for some reason the float wouldn't do what it was born to do. I wasn't going to live with a constant low coolant warning so I asked the garage to just change it too.
My headlight washers were not working, turned out the high pressure squirty pump also decided to cease doing its job. Same with the rear window washer pump.
The garage also spotted worn upper suspension bushes at the back and so they were changed out.
Refill of coolant and fresh oil and filter and good to go.
I have also had to order up a passenger side rear knuckle. Found one by NTY on eBay for £125. It appears genuine LR part is rare / possibly extinct and around £600 if you find stock.

Picked up the car after 2 weeks in the garage whilst I was on hols. They’d wire brushed the whole of the underside where there was any rust and then applied Fertan rust converter. Once cured the whole of the underside was sprayed with Dynax UC in 2 coats. Dynax S50 was applied liberally into any cavity, including subframes and sills. This is one Rangey that isn’t going to go rusty !

They also fixed the 30mph warning, which was a broken wire at the rear. Unfortunately a new front offside ride height sensor was needed as they couldn’t get the suspension re-calibrated with the old one.

Got it home and then treated it to a new genuine LR diesel fuel filter and changed the oil and filter.

A very good day all in all.

The old girl now sounds very sweet and popped her on an overnight battery charge for good measure, as she’s not done many miles for a couple of weeks.

Swapped out the rotary gear selector surround trim for a new item. It’s the large aluminium coloured bit and it was pitted and marked from 1000+ careless dropping of keys into the central cup holder area.

A 15 min job which took 2,hrs. That was only because I decided to do a deep clean on the whole centre console area, including handbrake switch area, height and terrain buttons surround etc etc.

It was actually pretty simple to do and very satisfying. All because I changed the gear selector topper.

It’s funny how renewing one small part shows up the rest of it.

The piano black console side trims have been left off as they need a polish now.

Where will it end I ask myself…

New wipers front and rear.
Fitted interior LED bulbs.
Removed swollen wheel nuts and fitted new ones, click click to 140NM.
Ultrasonic-ed the original locking wheel nuts, but will not re-use.
Began wiring up a trailer plug to use with Ctek charger, but realised I had a 12N plug and needed a 12S, return and repurchase done.
Fitted OE rubber mats front, rear and cargo. Ebay!
Fitted OE dog guard. Ebay!

Not quite brave enough to try to replace the under wing mirror units yet. Seem to require a LOT of force? Any tips?

Sewed on a surprisingly acceptable Aliexpress steering wheel cover which was tedious, but satisfying.

Removed the glovebox to fit LED bulb, lost the spring for the latch switch, so doesn't matter what bulb is in there. Any thoughts on replacement size?
Tried to remove the Westfalia trailer hitch socket to be able to use the 2" square socket, but that's not coming out of there anytime soon. Any advice?
Replaced the bonnet struts, world of difference.
Replaced rear hatch struts, amazing.
Wired up trailer plug to use CTek, plugged in, no errors, not sure I need it but nice to have for when I do.

Thought about adding Navtool, but need to review fitment 'instructions' and a brave pill.

Drove to four different locksmiths to get a couple of blanks cut for key fob upgrade.
Fitted the led wing mirror puddle lights. Thanks to SeldomSeenKid for the tip. Perfecto.
FOUND the aforementioned spring from the glovebox light switch!
Investigated the passenger footwell and under dash panel ahead of Navtool installation.
Fitted private plate after cleaning up previous numerous sticky pads.
Fitted a Brodit ProClip and Holder for iPhone and pondered charging cable routing.
