For anyone who is thinking about the Unique-ad unit, here are the instructions that get sent with it. Richard requested them initially but best to share so anyone can take a look or refer back.

United States 2012 Range Rover HSE 5.0 V8 Santorini Black

Sorry to pick this thread up. So I’ve had the system installed for almost 3 years now. That being said I’ve run into some issues over the time where I needed to tear into the dash but the last 1.5 years have been trouble free. The other day I noticed the audio only coming from the right side of the vehicle and adjusting the aux somewhat helped.

I drove for an hour back to my home and left it parked in the garage for 20-30 min locked. When I came back out it was working fine, at this point I’ve driven almost 60 miles on downtown Chicago roads (where I live) and the roads here are absolute Censored . The audio is working fine! Could this be an issue where one of the boxes just didn’t power on/wake up correctly so by letting the car “sleep” when locked helped “fix” the issue? If it was wiring I feel like it should have come back by now, trust me when I say the roads here will shake anything up (pot holes bad enough to crack rims)

Haven't experienced anything similar tbh... my bet would be a loose wire/poor connection on the aux feed though.

From memory the aux cable goes into two RCA jacks (left/right), maybe one of those came a bit loose?

Low battery or a dodgy earth can create all sorts of weird gremlins, perhaps even related to that?

(I still have issues with mine flattening the battery if left connected, *still* haven't gotten around to re-wiring it to only be on with the ignition yet, Rolling with laughter )

I see what you’re saying…. I guess if it was loose I don’t see how it would suddenly work again after the car sitting off. Maybe I’ll try to diff in a little to see what is going on. I have to say I have been slowly considering the ID Core system, I still never figured out my occasional screen static issue

Actually, I've not seen that screen static issue for ages now, well over a year. I have absolutely no idea what changed though, nothing that I consciously did to try and fix it anyway! Smile

After 4 years of working, I'm having an issue - the Naviplus screen seems to be drooping (no laughing at the back), it starts about half way down the screen and is slightly off to the left, I said no laughing.

I've pulled it all apart to see if any of the ribbons have come loose, but they don't seem to have. Defeated, I've mailed Naviplus to see if they can offer any advice.

For now I think I'll put all the dash back together and get the car in one piece and pray it fixes itself.

If you touch and hold a finger on the screen for 20 seconds it enters calibration mode where you can move the screen back to centre.

Oh, interesting, I thought that was only for the touch screen, not for the actual screen position?

The touch screen is calibrated fine, clicks where the button should be are recognised correctly.

Now you mention it I think that does refer to calibration of the touch element. I am sure there is somewhere in the menu to centre the screen though. Like you been a while since I last played with the installation. Best of luck though.

Super quick response from the Naviplus people;

With it unpowered, set all dip switches to on and apply power to reset.

Remove power, reset switches to what they were (2,3,4 on for multiview display) and re-apply power.

Screen is now back to normal Very Happy

They've also supplied instructions to swap the power for the relay from an ACC source; there's actually two sets of instructions supplied with different ways, so I'll work that out now as I'm putting it all back together.

Very excited to have working CarPlay again, it's like discovering it allover again Smile
