On the surface it looks to provide the same functionality as the NavPlus units but at a lower cost. Does anyone know how the installs differ? Is there any reason to avoid this unit? These units take over the in built screen and send audio over the line input / aux input. A long press f a button allows you to flip between systems.

My son had his deinstalled (if that a word) because the top few pixels went off the top of the screen as fitted. He subsequently read of the fix on the internet but it was too late then. He really is a chip off the old block. |

I forgot to report back the other day… I tested and, as expected, the mode button still works whilst displaying CarPlay. I don’t think this is an issue though, you’d have to be pretty ham-fisted to press it by accident I reckon. |

All original ribbons should be connected. Sounds like it will sort your issue. My guess is that you’re getting the CarPlay output as that bit is connected, but without the original connected it isn’t picking up the input to be able to pass it through.

I’ve finally got around to fitting my Naviplus after putting it off for nearly a year. It’s not been anywhere near as bad as I thought but now everything is in it won’t boot past the Range Rover start screen. Dual screen 2010. If anyone has any ideas you could make me a very happy person! |
