I was suddenly thinking volume turned down Laughing but obviously not the case if you get the tone and message. Do the distances change from 2.55 or are they static? L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

Presume you looked at the Workshop Manual in the Wiki?
And are using this diagnostic procedure? It's quite comprehensive starts with the basics dirt/paint on sensors, fuses /wiring etc. Then goes into the fault find list.

RANGE ROVER (LG), 413-13
PARKING AID
DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

The first step A1 reads
When the parking aid system is activated, there is a vibration on the
parking aid sensor membrane. This can be verified by touching the
parking aid sensor face with a hard item such as a pencil, ball-pen,
small screwdriver, or fingernail. Ensure no damage is caused to
sensor painted surface

Down to step A12 which then confirms replace the Parking Aid Control Module

There is also a 54 page Description and Operation also in the 413-13 section which shows you all the sensor locations etc 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

The parking aid control module is located in the luggage compartment, behind the left quarter trim panel of the luggage compartment.
The PACM has two connectors which provide power, ground and HS (high speed) CAN (controller area network) chassis bus connections, front parking aid sensors and rear parking aid sensors.
Worth checking those connectors for loose wires etc 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

No idea what the colour of your removable connectors are. But here is the wiring diagram with the individual wires in the connectors showing their colours.
eg Ignition is GN-BN (Green & Brown)

just been looking at removing the parking aid module (as gap tool says it faulty ) do you have to remove
the rear seat and several trim panels just to get to it or is there an easy way around it ?
