I washed the car properly, for the first time since I bought it in January!

Not solely today, but an action packed week for our ULEZ refugee L322. Nice new set of flashy Italian all season boots fitted (just in time for summer), then a refreshing bath. The tyres are a huge improvement in terms of noise over the old Wranglers, which despite having plenty of tread had gone off with age. Next, it had its tow bar unearthed from the boot and mounted for the first time in its 21 years. Yesterday it found out why that uncomfortable metallic insertion in its rear socket had happened as I attached a ruddy great tin box to its arse, half filled it with fat Sheep and made it sweat and grunt its way across Norfolk taking them 'on their holidays'. It drew some looks from the crowd of professionals dropping off their livestock with proper farm worn battle wagons. Luckily, I aced all reversing procedures in a slightly cramped and populated environment. Cool Declined washing out the trailer there as I didn't fancy the mess from the washing bay finding its way into the car. Shocked Towed extremely well, as would be expected. Have just removed the tow bar and returned car to its darkened shed to get over the shock of its labours.

2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Technically last night, so not really today, took my son and three of his school friends to their Yr 11 school prom.

Didn't feel at all out of place following on from a 991 GT3, F430 and DB11; next in line after me was a very nice early Silver Cloud 2-door, then a modern Ghost drop head coupe. I suspect my passengers arrived in at least as much comfort and space as any others! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDv8

Insured it again, as I'm now in a position to keep it, and not get rid of it, to say I'm happy is an understatement ๐Ÿ˜„

Had two new front tyres fitted - pirelli scorpion Zero's to match the rear.

Despite being MOT'd about a month ago when I asked the fitter what he thought of the front ones he'd removed he said "errrrrr, well legal I suppose" - so I think worth the replacements!!!

Finally rectified the previous owners mistake of tightening the lower control arms at full droop.
Bushes looked ok to my untrained eye so hopefully I've gotten away with it. ---------------------------------

After discovering the Air-Con didnโ€™t work during a very hot day (much to the annoyance of my wife), I had it checked and re-gassed this morning. Highly recommend https://www.auto-kool.co.uk for those in Essex and Suffolk. ยฃ89 later itโ€™s ice-cold.

Changed the gearbox oil ....twice and filter once. My new TCM battery arrived to hopefully get rid of the 'SOS functions not available' message. In true FF fashion the message went away as soon as I pressed the Buy it now button to order the battery and it hasn't come back. Mad . At least I'll be ready for it when it does come back.

Changed the sc oil, wish I hadn't bothered, very very clean after 130k miles, pain in the arse clambering about to remove the throttle body elbow, at least it's done now, but really not a requirement,, I reckon it would have been good until it went to the graveyard ๐Ÿ‘
