I have cleaned my MAPF sensor several times with spray brake cleaner, seems to work well.

During an idle moment I removed the MAP sensor from the inlet manifold and even though I thought the car was going well, The sensor in the manifold was a solid lump of carbon , lots of brake cleaner later and re installed it with aa smear of silicon grease on the o ring . then starting up what difference ! idle improved and it went much better or was it all in the mind ! .

The hoses are 70mm internal diameter. Buy whichever you fancy - lengths are around £10-15. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

I'll be honest and if money was no object I'd just buy a new plenum chamber!!

I'm tempted to go the new plenum route....are they expensive? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

"I'm tempted to go the new plenum route....are they expensive?" They're about £500 quid for a genuine one. Luckily I didn't have to pay it. Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

It's a Chinese take away container. There was about half that much again. I was very concerned about the amount I got out but apparently it is quite 'normal' with EGR's and the like. |

Just wondering if anyone knows on the right hand map sensor (looking into the bonet) should that be pulling in air in as in live data it's reading 0 where as the left is giving a measurement that turbo was replaced about a year ago only noticed it as trying to clean egr as keeps going in to restricted power due to egr temp sensor 118k tdv8 4.4 westminister |
