They must have Laughing

I've replied to Pat to say the as built CCF hadn't made much difference.

Hopefully his engineering team over there will have some other ideas.

I dont know what else there is to do, keep fighting with it or sell it and buy a car that drives, steers and rides like a luxury car should?

Mjdronfield, would I be recalling correctly that you had dodgy accelerometer readings and if so did you replace that accelerometer on yours?

Yes, not changed it. It was showing changing readings when the car was stationary. I can’t access it that easily without taking the mudflap off and I’m not sure it will go back on…. Did plan to swap with the one near the spare wheel to prove if it’s the wiring or the actual sensor. Phoenix was taking readings from it with his diagnostic kit, but I don’t think he’s been on here for awhile….

Ah okay, when you day changing readings do you mean alternating between 1 fixed value and another? For example switching from 1-10 then 10-1 and so on?

If so I have one that does that too.

Spotted a guy with a 2016 3.0 (so no dynamic reponse/anti roll control) complaining of a firm ride on Facebook.

He's changed from 22 inch wheels down to new defender 20 inch take offs with 60 profile tyres and says its still too harsh.

Will the cure ever be found?

IMO it is never down to the larger wheels they may make a small change but thats is all.
I have the biggest wheels that I have ever had on a Range Rover and in all honesty, I don't notice any difference.
I,m just a little more careful about them though. overfinch modified

I'd tend to agree Cayman, this feels like a problem with the actual suspensions ability to absorb.

I went from 19 inch wheels to 21 inch wheels on my Bentley CGT and there was only a very small loss of ride quality, I thought it would be drastically harder but it was not Thumbs Up

Thought I'd try a bounce test this evening whilst Parked up for 5 mins.

I can bounce the front and rear by hand with my body weight, it doesn't move much as is expected as the dampers are in firm state whilst still but I was thinking along the lines of a seized shock.

Although I did replace all shocks on the last 322 with basically no difference or improvement noted.

Australia 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Bournville

I just tried bouncing my L322. Parked at access height with the bonnet up, hanging onto the top radiator support and with a knee on the bumper I couldn't get more than about 5mm movement at the front and bouncing on the towbar didn't cause more than about 10mm movement at the rear. The rear shocks have done 60K kms and the fronts 40K kms. The rears will be 3/4 worn-out judging by the life of the originals and assuming that the piston seals and oil in the Bilstein shocks won't last any longer.
