Mjdronfield, would I be recalling correctly that you had dodgy accelerometer readings and if so did you replace that accelerometer on yours? |

Yes, not changed it. It was showing changing readings when the car was stationary. I can’t access it that easily without taking the mudflap off and I’m not sure it will go back on…. Did plan to swap with the one near the spare wheel to prove if it’s the wiring or the actual sensor. Phoenix was taking readings from it with his diagnostic kit, but I don’t think he’s been on here for awhile….

Ah okay, when you day changing readings do you mean alternating between 1 fixed value and another? For example switching from 1-10 then 10-1 and so on?

IMO it is never down to the larger wheels they may make a small change but thats is all.

I'd tend to agree Cayman, this feels like a problem with the actual suspensions ability to absorb.

I just tried bouncing my L322. Parked at access height with the bonnet up, hanging onto the top radiator support and with a knee on the bumper I couldn't get more than about 5mm movement at the front and bouncing on the towbar didn't cause more than about 10mm movement at the rear. The rear shocks have done 60K kms and the fronts 40K kms. The rears will be 3/4 worn-out judging by the life of the originals and assuming that the piston seals and oil in the Bilstein shocks won't last any longer. |
