It had snapped the aluminium casting on this one.

2019 should be outside the vin range. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

Lets hope that the Vin range is greater and 2019 models are just coming into the age for failure. It makes me cringe just to think about it, I'm glad I'm not in one of the affected vehicles, your never trust it. BMW i3 Electric Car

I’m sceptical about any VIN ranges, there appear to be a few anomalies?

With the very loyal customer base that other manufacturers could only dream of, I doubt it would bring down the company, especially with the very unique nature of The Range Rover. JLR really should take this situation seriously before deaths are caused due to this design / manufacturing fault, I don't know how much more evidence they need to prompt them into action which they have done on other countries. I’m totally agree with you, it’s a sample situation but JLR didn’t want to understand it !!

I saw this on Facebook and thought it would be useful here.

It could be worth sharing that document with watchdog, plus a few pictures of the failures here would spur things on a bit... |

The last paragraph really is worrying from an owners point of view. All of the affected cars are in a dangerous condition as can be seen from this thread and from responses in other countries by JLR. If one of the affected vehicles suffered a failure resulting in a fatality, I shudder to think of the consequences for the driver in light of this DVSA response.
