Only the Vogue TD6 has the remote start function as standard I *think*, the HSE or below has the aux heater but no receiver (although was tickable) If it was ticked as an option on the petrol then you got the whole lot. |

It's not unheard of to have a faulty remote, I had one and it took me a while to figure that out - I needed to borrow a known good one to verify a working reciever and a faulty remote.
Nope |

Why would a FBH only run on Diesel? |

It doesn't just spray fuel all over the engine and chuck a match on Both the Diesel & Petrol fueled FBH work in the same way, high pressure fuel is atomised through an injector and ignited (initially) by a glow plug. Then when up to temperature the glow plug is turned off when the flame can sustain itself. There is a turbine inside to constantly feed oxygen and remove exhaust gasses - much like a jet engine. |

Then I don't understand why you wouldnt want one? It's not like it's going to catch fire... It is used for pre-heating and Auxilliary heating if requested (via OBC) Same as the Diesel except doesnt come on automatically at low temps... |

I have the same problem with my T91 remote, it does not seem to work with my 2005 unit. All I get is the red LED flashing whatever I do. I might have to do the same and get a T90 remote. I got the T91 one from the bay, being sold as a newer version, but it looks like it is not compatible, or one of a faulty batch. |
