Only the Vogue TD6 has the remote start function as standard I *think*, the HSE or below has the aux heater but no receiver (although was tickable) If it was ticked as an option on the petrol then you got the whole lot.

funny how this has worked for you axle!! i am going to try mine again tonight. i have a T90 module in the boot and a T91 remote.

maybe either the remote or the module are not working properly.

is there any way of checking these?

if the heater comes on from the touch screen, does that involve the module starting it? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

It's not unheard of to have a faulty remote, I had one and it took me a while to figure that out - I needed to borrow a known good one to verify a working reciever and a faulty remote.

Why would a FBH only run on Diesel?

It doesn't just spray fuel all over the engine and chuck a match on Laughing

Both the Diesel & Petrol fueled FBH work in the same way, high pressure fuel is atomised through an injector and ignited (initially) by a glow plug. Then when up to temperature the glow plug is turned off when the flame can sustain itself.

There is a turbine inside to constantly feed oxygen and remove exhaust gasses - much like a jet engine.

Yes ..i understand how they work ....still not keen on a petrol one though

Petrol engines get up to temperature without the need of FBH ...so presumably its just used for pre heat ?

Then I don't understand why you wouldnt want one? It's not like it's going to catch fire...

It is used for pre-heating and Auxilliary heating if requested (via OBC) Same as the Diesel except doesnt come on automatically at low temps...

well, my new T90 remote arrived today in the post.... Shocked

it's massive in comparison to the T91!!

anyway, out to the car after work tonight, put new batteries in it, pulled the fuse, pressed the off button, got a red light.

left it all for a minute till i put the cover back on the fuse box, pressed the on button bobs your uncle she only fires up.. Bow down Bow down

i then pressed both buttons together to change LED from red to green and pressed on button again and sure enough the blower and cold air fired up.

i have come to the conclusion then, that either the T91 is not compatible, (it was supposed to be brand new) or it is a duffer.. Sad

can someone actually confirm that they have a T91 remote working with their T90 boot module and secondly, would someone like to try my remote out to see if it is a duffer or not or give me a clue to check another way if it works or not please.?? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I have the same problem with my T91 remote, it does not seem to work with my 2005 unit. All I get is the red LED flashing whatever I do. I might have to do the same and get a T90 remote. I got the T91 one from the bay, being sold as a newer version, but it looks like it is not compatible, or one of a faulty batch.
