northernmonkeyjones - thanks for the brilliant guide. Did nearside Discs and pads on my 6 pot brembos on Wednesday before being rained off. Thought offside would be dead easy yesterday now I knew the method. Well it was an absolute Bas***d!!
The pins took some extreme beating to remove. Thought I was going to have to replace the caliper
The Central pin with the 13mm bolt on the back, got the bolt out OK but couldn't budge the thick pin however hard I beat it!! In the end, as the caliper was coming off to replace the Disc i managed to slot the new pads in from behind.
I didn't have a 12-point 21mm socket but luckily had a 12 point 13/16" socket in my imperial stuff for my MGB and that fitted perfectly. I had to remove these bolts with the steering turned so I could use a long breaker bar as my Aldi Impact Wrench wasn't budging them.
