I'm guessing it should be something like this:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LASER-TOOLS-709...3051497708 LASER TOOLS 7097 Front Brake Carrier Bolt Socket 21mm Land Rover I saw that bolt on mine, and was a bit concerned until I realised I didn't have to pull the caliper to replace the pads. |

Is that Laser Tool the right one to remove the calipers on a 2011 with Brembo? ? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

IIRC a standard multi point socket will fit and undo them, not a HEX, but one which goes on may ways round. I can't remember the size tbh but the one in my drawer did the trick.

The sockets and ring spanners are known as double hex or 12-point. |

Hello The reason to allow the excess brake fluid through the bleed nipple is 2 fold. 1 If the fluid is forced to quickly back to the brake fluid reservoir, then there is a danger of the seals in the master cylinder flipping. This will show up as a soft brake peddle. 2 By allowing the OLD brake fluid out of the caliper, this will then be replaced with more fresher fluid. Also you can then test that fluid for water content. sorry to jump on this post but!!! |

No, the 405 tdv6 has TRW type callipers so will be basically the same procedure as the rears on a 322 or fronts on a non brembo car. Still pretty easy though. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜 FFRR 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography Santorini Black. Fiat 500x 1.4 multiair Lounge 2015 2010 LR D4 Commercial 2.7 TDV6 |
