I've had my Naviplus installed for about 18 months and am still very impressed with both wired and wireless apple CarPlay (I've not tried Android so can't comment on that). I especially like that it is fully touchscreen enabled unlike other alternatives that use a joystick.

Are you saying that an updated Naviplus is now supplied that does not require opening up of the head unit, merely plugging and unplugging connectors ??

Still need opening the head unit; only 8 screws plus the screws of the brackets. Then simply disconnect the two connectors and insert the bypass/overlay connectors, and screw it back together. It will take you longer to take the opportunity to clear the screen and remove that patchy coating from it

I bought one believing that it was plug and play installation, and that I would be able to cope with the job, but when it arrived I studied the installation instructions and realised just how much work was involved to fit it.
