After missing this from my D4,I decided to see if it could be done on the 2017 models which have the later Incontrol Touch Pro (widescreen) ICE and Eberspächer FFBH fitted but not configured as a park heater. (2018 onwards will be different as I believe these are fitted with the Webasto Heater.)
The answer is YES it can, but is not as plug and play as earlier models. It seems that if the vehicle was not delivered with the timed climate feature then the wiring for the remote receiver in the rear of the vehicle is not present and so some wiring needs to be added and a suitable location found for the remote receiver and antenna. Also the valve and associated plumbing which diverts the water from the FFBH to circulate solely around the heater circuit is not present, although strangely the wiring is, - this is not critical as we shall see later.

Items needed:
Working copy of JLR Pathfinder software - free to download but requires working Topix subscription.
DoIP interface for programming vehicle. (Unfortunately this cannot currently be done with the IID tool)
CCF editing software I believe the G3/4 version of the IIDTool with the latest software can now do the required CCF edits.
Remote Plip LR083895 (LR branded) or LR033464 (RR branded) - either will work but usually the LR branded one is cheaper.

Where did you source the antenna from m8 ? I cant find one with a type I for the life of me

Unfortunately I can't remember where I got the antenna from. It doesn't need to be a type I connector, a type Z (universal) will also do the job. I used a type I as I wanted to to match the connector on the receiver.

All done and tested on my 2015 , did all the CCF changes using a GAP tool.

Cant wait for the winter now to take advantage :p

this also works for pre 2017 vehicles

The power feed was tapped from the FFBH supply on the FFBH harness with a separate fuse. As I had a contact insert I fitted this to the socket on the vehicle loom for the receiver data connection, this could also be tapped into the FFBH harness.

Wiring colours for receiver live feed and earth is fine but what wire triggers receiver module as several are live feeds.

For the L405 up to 2017 model year with the Eberspächer FFBH

Receiver LR033462 / CPLA-18D540-AA - list about £200 new
Remote LR033464 list about £400 new seen on eBay for about £90
Antenna, something like this - about £5
Connectors, use what you have available that's suitable - preferably sealed.

It should be possible to complete for under £150 total with second-hand parts

Really hard to find wiring diagram for retrofit, not even the reciever plug is wired correctly. I copied the same wiring as webasto for remote plug.
Any ideas welcome.
