Yes I sent them pics of the incumbent cell with dimensions and they confirmed it is compatible.

I can’t see any visual damage on mine but clearly the system is doing the fault check then stopping so I think there must be an issue with it.

I’m just doing the drivers side for the moment and if it works will do the same on the other side. 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Vogue SE (Rimini Red)

Nothing yet.

Shipping is quite long on the peltier cell.

It’s cleared customs in Ukraine by the looks of it.

As soon as it arrives will give it a go and post my findings. 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Vogue SE (Rimini Red)

As a fellow 'cooling only' FFRR owner I am interested in how that replacement peltier cell works out for you too Michael. I'll be stripping my seats in the near future but I have a list of issues of which this is not a priority yet!

Good luck and fingers crossed. 1996 Disco 1 3.9 V8 on gas (Sadly Sold)

So I’m afraid it’s bad news!

The item arrived and despite me sending the seller part numbers as well as all the dimensions of the faulty peltier cell to confirm it was in fact slightly too wide!

Given that I didn’t really have anything to lose I pinched it up slightly which did cause some of the end fins to touch and thought I’d try it anyway as modifying the housing to fit the bigger unit didn’t look like a viable option.

Plugged it in loosely and tested it and same issue as before, on cooling it fires up, change it to heating, nothing and the cell isn’t warming up then cooling won’t work either.

I don’t know enough about the make up of these things to work out if my pinching of the fins caused it or something else but the connections were good, soldered and heat shrunk and I made sure I got the 2 green wires the same way round as on the original.

Hopefully I should get back what i paid for this as it wasn’t as described however unless anyone has any other ideas I think I will be phoning LR Parts department Very Happy 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Vogue SE (Rimini Red)

On a separate note I was just going through the wiring diagrams for the seats and the section on seats only seems to cover the standard ones with traditional elements.

If anyone has come across a wiring diagram covering these please share as it would be interesting to check the connector pins to double check that it is the motor at fault on mine and not something else. 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Vogue SE (Rimini Red)

I too have the cooling only for the driver seat, the passenger works fine and the codes for the drivers are right seat back and right seat.

Am I correct in thinking, that there's 'two' heater units per seat? One at the back & one under the base?
My 2012 Westminster has no heat at all on the drivers seat, the fan runs for 30 secs then quits.
Before I get the local Indy involved I need to know the extent of what could be required to fix this.
I was under the impression, the one unit on the back seat fed the back cover & the seat base?

Be interested to hear what you folks have to say. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

There should be back and base units in your front seats assuming they have base and back heating and/or cooling.

Look in the Wiki for:

2010-2012 Workshop Manual\Auto Transmission and transaxle\Body and paint\Seats\Seats Gen and Testing

and you'll find some info on locations and there are threads on here about maintaining and opening them up. So far it apears no repair is available for the peltier part alone alhough if Ansi's try works there'll be a flood of orders to the supplier. Smile Cheers

Don't know yet. The unit arrived on Thuesday, will work on it on Saturday.
If I compare the look and the numbers on the Jag unit with pictures of the RR unit I may be able to swap the whole heating assembly. Thumbs Up

The Jag units certainly seem easier and cheaper to come by so if someone manages to get one of those working then great.

I would be reluctant to fit a second hand one though as it could go again at any point but maybe the jag units are cheaper new from JLR also? 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Vogue SE (Rimini Red)

So I took out the seat today and changed the Peltier-Part.
If I would have known that the Jaguar and the LR lower heating assembly are exactly the same then I would have looked out for a driver side unit (LHD). But nevertheless it was an easy job, taking the seat out and the cushion off was the hardest part of it.
I changed the Peltier by taking the 4 Pins one by one out of the plug and the “new” ones in. One by one to be sure that the 2 green wires are back in same position.

The entire job was done in about 45 minutes!
