Letâs hope so! I am feeling a little better going into the weekend but know by now not to get my hopes up with Stratstone, fingers crossed. |

Itâs a lot lot more positive than where you thought you were this morning. You seem to be in a strong position. Believe... unless or until told otherwise. Good for you |

I must say my local dealer have been just that, it was the CEO of Stratstone that has passed it down to his Group standards leader who has moved things along or I think Iâd be in the same position I was the other day. |

They have confirmed it is the CrankShaft and sent the report to the warranty. They called today to say they hope to hear back from the warranty by tomorrow and believe they will contribute, as with 40% from LR and a contribution from Stratstone their goal is to cover the cost of a new engine. đ¤đź |

Fingers crossed mate hope you get this sorted. I have a 64 plate 3.0 tdv6 and thinking of changing it for the v8 because of this whole crankshaft issue âšď¸, it has got land rover extended warranty but when i asked them do you cover the crankshaft issue they said âwe deal with each case on a individual basis so we cannot say no we wonât cover it and yes we willâ in other words they ainât paying for no engine replacement |

Saying that mate LR said to me that they wouldnât cover mine 100% because it would be unfair on those paying for the extended warranty, so Iâd bet they would cover it even if the LR warranty wouldnât? Even still Iâd be thinking of getting a V8 though, they seem better engines all together, something I wish Iâd have looked more into, hindsight is a wonderful thing! |

I think it sounds like you might be getting close to a resolution here.

And this the reason I donât get my hopes up with Stratstone and their warranty company. They are now saying due to the car being serviced 1300 miles late due to lockdown they believe it may have caused the part to fail and have sent an engineer out to inspect it. I now need to wait until they have been out and decided whether or not they will cover it.

They certainly are clutching at straws and trying to wriggle out of it. I really hope you get a resolution on this with minimal impact to you, financially. Kev

Youâve not explained your circumstances as to how you ended up overdue a service and what evidence youâve got as to what prevented it being done in your particular case.
