Greg, Rovertune specifically checked for those O ring leaks at turbo end of pipe for me. Unfortunately the turbo leak was from the main turbo My advice would be to run it out to them in Reading one day for a diagnosis. If you have the TDV8 4.4 diesel, they are the same as far as I know. The part number for the L322 is LR022895. They said the fit these 90% of the time and never had a return or an issue. 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8

Thanks for this - I have the oil weep on a 2012 TDV8. Just wondering whether it’s best to fit this whole unit - or just the new gaskets back onto to the original parts? Does it make fitting that much easier to change out the whole thing? Matt |

My mechanic mate who did mine always fit entire new unit and gaskets. I was happy with that. Some folks just do gasket. Personal choice dependent on bank balance Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

The gasket change is easy enough. A few more bolts to undo. You have an extra surface to clean. Not much extra work and it's only simple. Easy to do once you have the oil cooler out. One piece of advice, be careful when you put the pipe with the two O rings back in. I cracked the cast aluminium part that the pipe goes into. Hence the new oil cooler. Also, there's a coolant pipe that runs from a fitting the the donut shaped air intake pipes and goes to a rubber hose at the front of the vehicle. The fitting that Recieved the small stuff pipe into the large rubber pipe is VERY brittle. It's £80 for a new part so be careful. Don't ask me how I found it was brittle. Sigh. 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8

So can anyone confirm if the 8.73/1.78mm viton O rings fit without leaks????

Lots of people fit the smaller ones and get on ok with no leaks. If I was you, I would get the slightly larger ones. They will still fit ok. Just lube them well and take care sliding them in nice and straight. The difference between the 2 you mention is very small. 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8
